This project involved the complete change of layout for the ground floor of the property. The Lounge, dining area and kitchen were all swapped around in order to make the flow of the house work with the clients needs. The main wall into the kitchen was adjusted to take a new set of double doors. The ground floor chimney has been removed and supported with steel beams that have been cleverly hidden in the ceiling space. The ceiling has been coffered to allow for lighting and extraction to be hidden away from sight. The lighting system installed was supplied by RACO. The system has been installed to allow for a range of lighting themes. Heating to the kitchen was supplied via a trough channel built into the floor and covered with an oak grill to match the parquet flooring. The interior of the property was designed by Thornton Allan interiors; who worked along side Rock and Bone who were the manufacturers of the kitchen.
